Quiet Moments At Home

Sometimes we all need a time-out. And if we don't allow ourselves a time-out, our body will claim it by itself. That happened to me last weekend when I was knocked out by a mean cold and forced to rest. And to finally take in some quite moments at home. After all the traveling and working, it was time to think of myself. After gallons of hot tea and honey and lots of sleep, I felt I was getting over my cold. And the moment I found myself rearranging things in my apartment, I knew I was ready to get back to work.

Quiet moments at home are precious. Sensing your home and shaping it to your tastes is important for your inner happiness. Think of your home as your safe haven, as your returning point where you enter a personal sanctuary. You leave all the hassle, the noise and the craziness of the daily life outside and refocus on yourself, your loved one, your family. Cherishing those moments is essential. It is my daily dose of personal balance to not go berserk in this fast paced life.

Do you grant yourself with quiet moments at home?

  1. Dear Igor,
what a wonderful post. I fully agree with you. It's so essential - also that we get this reminders from time to time that it couldn't work without this. Beside that it's so sad that we invest a lot to make our home lovely and then we don't take the time to enjoy it.
Thank you very much for your very nice reminder.
Have a nice and happy day!

    1. Hi Corinna, happy you appreciated today's blog post! It is such a true fact that many people invest money into their home and yet they do not allow themselves to enjoy it thoroughly.
