Home Tour: Eclectic London Home

This Hampstead based eclectic home is the humble dwelling of Sam Roddick, the daughter of Body Shop founder Anita Roddick. The Victorian house is a real masterpiece of interior design. The eclectic interior results from a refined mélange of a variety of styles. Romantic corners counterpart the clear, strict minimalism of the dining room with a touch of mid-century. The industrial kitchen is juxtaposed to a vintage styled living room, the modern bathroom in enriched by baroque elements whereas the master bedroom opens the doors to a disco glam world of glitter and vibrant colours. I love the abundance of style, details and colours in this home. While I usually love white, bright Scandinavian spaces, I must admit, I'd move into this Victorian gem right away. Glam it up, babe!

  1. As a whole, I can't decide if I love it, but that shower: I would DIE for!

  2. Eclectic or verging on repulsive? - Interesting selection of photos but would def. not go out of my way to live there. - Not my idea of comfortable living. Personally prefer classic french...refined art deco interiors. - What was the designer thinking?!?!

The style would probably suit retail / commercial spaces instead of residential!

  4. I am always so amazed with rich people's houses. They always have the most unique state of the art designs... I mean, a rain fall shower? A disco glam room? And that wall in the kitchen is just amazing! I can go on these home tours all day long.

  5. What a unique home she has. I love the tiled wall in the kitchen and the clusters of lights hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom with the shower in the middle is fab too!

  10. Holy wow, Igor! What a phenomenal find! It's all pretty gorgeous but, admittedly, I'm most smitten with the kitchen. But, that's to be expected. Shall I serve tea to you and Will in the living room? ;)

  12. The ktichen is just lovely. The grey and the wood! I think it is hard to actually imagine what the very colourful rooms feel like in real life. Some great items in each of the rooms though. Like the great wall lamps in the bedroom... swooon. Yes please! I want to visit it though and actually experience these rooms
