Photographer Bliss: Ditte Isager

You click through the West Elm website. You admire the photography. You flip through the Anthropologie catalogue. You adore the photography. You browse through Elle Decoration. And you fall in love with the photography. Chances are high that you've spotted some amazing shots by New York based photographer Ditte Isager. She has worked for these brands as well as for many other renowned names.

Ditte Isager was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, and her roots have a strong and notable influence on her work. Her style is simple nordic. She shoots interiors, personalities, food and travels. She loves to juxtapose materials, objects, colours and light to create contrasts and ravishing photographies. When shooting, Ditte draws her inspiration from the light in the grand Dutch masters, storytelling and effects from motion pictures. And after moving to NYC in 2006, she added a tad of style, character and layer of New York to her work. To me, this sounds like a marvelous combination and the outcome is - simply put - pure photography bliss!
