From Place To Space: Paris

If someone asked me to describe Paris in three words, I'd say: love, food, style. The first word describes an utterly personal reason, the second word my big weakness in the city of lights, and the latter summarizes a variety of factors that make this city one of the most charming places in the world - from fashion, to architecture, shops, and Parisian lifestyle.

Since I'm a frequent traveller to Paris (referring to reason one), I decided to show you another impression of the beautiful city on the shores of the Seine. Actually, I thought it might be a good reason to take you on a little happy stroll through Paris - chasing inspiration on-the-go. So here we are, starting off from the enchanting Ile St. Louis down to the old parts of Paris like Le Marais and St. Paul. I snapped a few pictures for you and hope you'll follow me along.

This time, I spotted so many vibrant colours and textures in interior shops (especially in the two beautiful stores of Fleux in Le Marais), not to mention the fresh flowers and luscious food displays. Plus it was an amazingly sunny and warm October day - what else to say then: I was totally happy!

  1. Love the colors. Do you think you have a thing for circles of color? I counted 6 pics or round forms. It is funny how pics can reveal things. You better have some polka dots at home or you aren't being true to yourself! Excellent post.

  4. These are literally some of the happiest pictures I've seen of Paris! It's often photographed as romantic... but these vibrant colors you captured really brings out the other side of Paris. I just finished a giveaway where I had readers tell me their "favorite travel spot" and Paris was on top of the list! Love to get there one day (and Munich!!!) xo from SF!!

  6. What a delightful way to start my morning-strolling through Paris on a sunny day. I just finished reading "A Moveable Feast" again, so I'm having a little love affair of my own with the city right now. I'm loving those bouncy looking stools at the top, the beautiful yellow and green vases and that store at the bottom is calling my name!
