Danish Design Discovery: H. Skjalm P.

After a few of my trips to the Danish capital and design metropolis Copenhagen I wanted to share one of my discoveries with you. At the DesignTrade show I spotted the Danish design brand during my second trip to Copenhagen - H. Skjalm P.

As you might assume the name stands for its founder, Hagbarth Skjalm Petersen, who founded the brand over sixty years ago. Today, H. Skjalm P. is known for beautiful interior décor items as well as great kitchenware. I went to their own store in Copenhagen and couldn't help but leave with a few design souvenirs for myself and I guess you will pretty much understand why I fell in love with the brand when you look at their pictures, right?
And during my trip to Copenhagen last week I had to buy one of the raw brass plant pots and I do love it! Are you a fan of Danish design and did you know H. Skjalm P. before?

Have a great day, friends!

  1. Awesome simple and sophisticated Danish Design. Didn't know the brand before, but thanks for sharing! Those brass plant pots look awesome, especially to combine with blues and wooden structures. Added Copenhagen to my "To visit"-list ;)

Have a nice weekend Igor :)

  7. I am an uber-fan of Danish design and did not know H. Skjalm P. And... I kinda don't think I've missed too much. Not a fan of all that brass or those textiles. Sorry ;-) But you know I love you!
