I can imagine some of you asking when I will finally call it quits with my London adventures. Well, I promise, soon it'll be over and coming week I will take you to a very sunny island to balance the content a bit. However, I want to share one more great BlogTour sponsor with you: Amtico.

Now someone like me who lives in an apartment with wooden parquet and who is in love with wooden flooring, it was more than interesting to follow our sponsor's invitation to their booth at this year's 100% Design show and see if they can convince me with vinyl flooring.

I was enthralled by their designer's passion for flooring and all the thought and creativity that goes into their products. And they caught me with surprising, colourful highlights in their new Signature Collection. Moreover, I was interviewed by a TV crew at their stand and after some pondering I've decided to share the little video here so you can see me in action and blabbering my way through the interview! BlogTour London: Tent/Superbrands 2012

It's time to take you further along my retrospective design walk through the London Design Festival 2012 - today let me take you to the shows Tent/Superbrands. You will see, it was a colourful feast with a high happiness factor. No wonder this was my favorite shows of all during the BlogTour London. Let me show you some of my favorites.

Zoe Murphy's stand draw my immediate attention with its vibrant colours and one centerpiece - a beautifully designed chest of drawers. Moreover, her new collection is entirely environmentally friendly by using reclaimed materials. Tamasine Osher, one aisle further, surprised me with witty wooden fixtures for the wall where you can even hang up your bike - a great idea for small, urban apartments. And an absolute highlight was the visit to the Mini Moderns booth - I had the best time ever chatting with Keith and Mark and admiring their new designs as well as their brand new paint collection made of reprocessed waste paint to please the eye and environment. Bliss!

Another discovery was The Cold Press, a UK based studio, gallery and store that featured incredibly arty pieces to upgrade any interior. Trendy oil paintings and airy wire art hangings were a visual treat. Right around the corner I encountered the next colour explosion, at the vibrant booth of Tamasyn Gambell with some of the happiest cushions ever. 

When it comes to lighting, my absolute favorite at Tent was Roussel Furniture & Lighting Design. Their lamps feature colourful accents to enhance interiors in a surprising manner. Another novelty was the Spanish textile brand Zuzunaga with a bombastic mix of patterns and colours on blankets, throws and cushions. 

At the stand of Andy Murray Designs I not only had a very pleasant chat with the designer himself, I also got one of his quirky fruit bowls hand made of aluminium. The brand Low Info was yet another spectacular find - I fell in love with their concrete sink set in a bright yellow metal framing and a shiny yellow faucet. How cool would that be in a bathroom? Coucou Manou was the booth of choice for happy wooden candlesticks and Room39 knew how to play the neon card. Double like!

Last but not least I loved the funky furniture design by Anthony Hartley. His playful Cable Collection features tables and chairs in many colours that can be easily assembles and reassembled for a maximum of flexibility and a minimum of required space. Modern and creative! BlogTour London: Designjunction 2012

After the BlogTour London and a week of holidays I am still sort of overwhelmed by the pictures and impressions I brought back from London. Not only have I met the funniest, coolest and most adorable crowd of bloggers, I also had a divine, swell and bombastic design injection. Today I would like to share some pics from designjunction, a show that boasted more than 100 international design brands in a fantastic industrial surrounds of a 1960s Sorting Office.

The most vivid memories I have from designjunction are some fabulous textile designs and lighting fixtures. While roaming the show I spotted four new-to-me brands that left me sobbing and longing for more. Let me quickly go through them. Maybe you'll share my passion, too.

Right at the start of the show I fell in love with Solid ID, a London based homewares company featuring an array of furniture, lighting, tableware and accessories, with a focus on hand-made, one-off pieces. That anchor lighting was a major visual anchor to me. If it were a bit smaller, it would have ended up in my bag. But alas, I brought back this great pic up there to share with you instead. One aisle further I got hooked by colours, playfully printed on cushions and painted on plates. I found myself in front of the booth featuring Lindsey Lang designs. The London based textile designer and illustrator presented her latest collection boosting gleeful colours and patterns. What was not to be loved? See more here.

On the back of the fall I was brought to yet another pit stop by the quirky furniture designs of Lucy Turner. Her strong abilities as surface designer were ideally used to pimp and reinvent furniture pieces from the 50s and 60s. Those little side tables were a real winner to me. Finally, I walked through the upper floor and was immediately drawn to the stall of lighting design Atelier Areti. Not only did I love the name (knowing that it means 'virtue' in Greek), but I adored their lighting fixtures, especially the one shown here on my blog. The cool, urban design with a tad of industrial was a real highlight so to speak. I would absolutely love this piece in a lofty studio of mine. Moreover, I was so pleased to speak German to the smart designer Gwendolyn Kerschbaumer who told me that most of their products are actually being produced in Germany. Well hello! 5 Happy Inspirations: London Design Festival

Hello my friends! I am back from London. I spent five amazing days as part of the BlogTour London and had such a great and intense time. I dived into design at the London Design Festival and enjoyed the best company around: Raina, Jill, Maryam, Christian, James, Rashon, Lynn, Robin, Cheryl, Vitania, Nyla, Jennifer and Patti. 

I will be back with way more pics and coverage from the London Design Festival. For today I've quickly chosen five happy snaps from my iPhone. These goodies really pleased my eye! Happy hump day!!

Hello From London!

A quick and happy 'Hello' from London my friends where I am running from one amazing design show to another. I am in the middle of the fabulous BlogTour London organised by Modenus and enjoy a big deal of design and blogger networking in the British capital.
