Exclusive & Big News: My First Book Project

It's time to share some big news with you, my friends! And Friday is just a perfect day for it. We are all in a happy weekend anticipation mood, and this news are definitely happy, too. I am beyond happy and proud to be contributing to a book with some of my favorite blogger friends. This is my first book project as a contributor and I was very excited to work closely with the German publisher Callwey here in Munich.

It was back in March when I was first approached by the project coordinator from the publishing house and we worked together on the book outline. Later on, I was asked to suggest some of my favorite bloggers as further contributors and this was more than a pleasure to me. Then it was time to start working - lots of pictures had to be taken, texts to be written, I was interviewed about colours for interior design projects and managed to round up my work just a few weeks ago.

The book will be published in German on September 20th this year with the title 'Wohnideen aus dem wahren Leben - Inspirationen der besten Wohnblogger' and is already announced in the publishing house's catalogue and my excitement grows! Expect a whirlwind of inspirations on 240 pages with 400 photos! Today I am sharing exclusively the cover and a few shots from various contributors and myself from the book.

I hope you are equally excited and will follow me along on this amazing publishing adventure - there will be more news coming and - well of course - I will giveaway a few happy copies to you after it's been published!

Happy Friday, friends!

8 Bloggers - 8 Stylings For &tradition

Hello my friends! This Tuesday I have to skip the 'Why this room caught my eye' series cause I couldn't wait to share another highlight from my design blogger tour in Copenhagen: Our visit to the Norm Architects design studio where we were invited by the design brand &tradition. A healthy breakfast invigorated our physical powers, a little presentation and introduction to the latest collection of &tradition sparkled our visual powers and a styling session challenged our creative powers. The stylist Stine Langvad, who works for Elle Decoration in Denmark, was present too and gave us some professional insights into a stylist's life. And the best: our final stylings were shot by the professional Danish photographer Rune Lundø

So when I had to come up with an idea for my styling I went through the offered props. I picked up the cool black Raft Stool NA3 by Norm, an exposed bulb on a neon pink cord, pink Washi tape and a few books. Plus I smuggled in some other 'not official' props like the leather jacket of Agata and a moustache cup from the breakfast table. I added the little bit of inevitable 'HAPPY' and voilà, my little styling was accomplished! Hope you like it!

I think we all did a great job and I am so happy to be among some of the most inspiring bloggers in Europe! Today I am sharing my styling in detail, soon I will feature the others in more detail as well.

Thanks again to &tradition for an amazing morning in Copenhagen!

Hello From Copenhagen!

Hey my friends! As announced in yesterday's blogpost, I am already in the Danish capital Copenhagen. I will stay three full days here and enjoy a blast of Danish design. I am sharing this fabulous experience with some of Europe's biggest and most influential design bloggers and I am more than honoured to be among them as the German representative. Here with me in Copenhagen are Nina from Stylizimo, Emma from Emmas Designblogg, Desiree from Vosges Paris, Gerard from Walnut Grey Design, Anna from La Maison d'Anna G., Allan from Bungalow5 and Agata from I Like Design.

As you can imagine, we won't be there just to discover Danish design and have fun (ok, who am I kidding, of course we will do exactly that) but also to prepare for the upcoming and new design show DesignTrade which will take place in late August this year. If you want to keep up to date on this new Scandinavian design show, visit their blog HERE. And for on-the-go inspiration from Copenhagen, make sure you follow me on Instagram

Happy Wednesday from Copenhagen!

BlogTour Sponsor: Amtico

I can imagine some of you asking when I will finally call it quits with my London adventures. Well, I promise, soon it'll be over and coming week I will take you to a very sunny island to balance the content a bit. However, I want to share one more great BlogTour sponsor with you: Amtico

Amtico is a flooring design and manufacturing company know for high quality vinyl flooring products. Now someone like me who lives in an apartment with wooden parquet and who is in love with wooden flooring, it was more than interesting to follow our sponsor's invitation to their booth at this year's 100% Design show and see if they can convince me with vinyl flooring.

I was enthralled by their designer's passion for flooring and all the thought and creativity that goes into their products. And they caught me with surprising, colourful highlights in their new Signature Collection. Moreover, I was interviewed by a TV crew at their stand and after some pondering I've decided to share the little video here so you can see me in action and blabbering my way through the interview! Hope you like it though! Happy Friday!
