Hello my dear readers - today is a special day for me, it's the second birthday of Happy Interior Blog! I can't believe it's been two years - what a whirlwind period! So many great and exciting things happened during this time and one highlight is my very first book project. So well, what better occasion than a birthday to present the book I contributed to! And this is a special birthday - I don't expect presents, instead I'm offering some. To be precise - three presents in the form of a book giveaway. So join the birthday party here!
The book 'Wohnideen aus dem wahren Leben' (literally 'Living ideas from real life') is a creative concoction of 15 European interior design bloggers from Norway to Greece. And almost all of them are my friends which makes this book a wonderful book to me - a book of friends. Every blogger shares pictures of their homes and inspiration for happy homes. And every picture is a real life story - unpretentious, unstaged, just honest and real.
The book is structured into room chapters, so you get ideas for your kitchen, living room, bedroom and more. Additionally, general interior topic chapters give insights into the use of colours, the creation of still lifes or moodboards, decorating with flowers and much more. The chapters are rounded up by individual presentations of all bloggers including short interviews. And let me tell you - each and every of the 220 pages is a wonderful visual inspiration.
Even though the book has been only published in German, fret not! The photography speaks for itself, it speaks the international language of visual aesthetics. The language we all speak! 'Wohnideen aus dem wahren Leben' was published on September 20th by my publisher Callwey and is available in their online shop as well as on Amazon. But before you hit the buy button, leave a comment under this blogpost and secure your chance to win one of three copies of the book. The giveaway is open internationally and runs until coming Sunday, October 27th, midnight CET! So join in!
P.S. The Monday series 'From Place To Space' will be back tomorrow. It's birthday week so everything turns topsy-turvy!
