Sometimes I feel so happy and comfy when I am surrounded with little, beautiful home buddies that please my eye and heart. After all, it's the small things that make me go über-joyous. The magic is to keep it simple and uncluttered. One teapot instead of three. But then choose an amazing one. Two vases instead of five. But opt for local, handmade pottery to be individual. Three cushions instead of 15. But pick those with high quality materials and unique patterns. And for the days in between, when you can't help but scoop some high-street shop shelves, never mind, spring-cleaning is a recurring happy guest. And then you're all set and ready for new home buddies. Like these five lovelies.

ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of Massimo Vignelli and what he said in an interview I listened to some time ago (I keep the quote on my blog): "Commercial things are done by people that want to exploit other people and couldn't care less about quality." Let me just add: Amen!
Say it, sista' :-)
