Now don't you wonder about my 'oh so' Swedish passion today. I am so happy to tell you that I will be off to Stockholm as off tomorrow! It is my first trip ever to Sweden (can you believe that?) and I am so über-excited to discover the best of Scandinavian design in one of Europe's design capitals itself. I can reassure you that you will be part of my trip too - soon I will feature a special 'From Place To Space' post dedicated to Stockholm, and if you like to have a more real-time experience follow me on Instagram and Twitter as I will be updating you live from Stockholm. But now let's get in the mood with five happy inspirations from Design House Stockholm!
Photography: 1. Work Lamp, 2. Nordic Light candelabra, 3. Cobalt tableware collection, 4. Bono bowls, 5. Manana lamp, all via Design House Stockholm
Fun - I hope you'll enjoy my country! :-)
ReplyDeletehappy travels. you'll love stockholm. it's a fabulous place. always enjoy my time there. what amazes me about the city, especially gamla stan is how beautiful the patina of the copper roofs are. notice the ombre of the walls - lighter at the top and still lushly pigmented at street level. a testament to the narrow streets keeping the sun out!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the black and white pieces...lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteJune 1989 Jewelry Grand Opening!
Heeeey! Have fun and enjoy your stay! And DO try Swedish salty candy. You will either adore it or hate it (and me for recommending it) for the rest of your life :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Bojana! I will look out for it!
DeleteAsk for Malaco truly blacks, Lakrisal or any assorted salties. They are so yummy!
DeleteDon't tell my son (it's a surprise), but we have a chance to travel from the US to Sweden in about a year, and I can't wait! Crossing my fingers in the hopes that it comes true! Have so much fun! I'll keep an eye out here for more of your inspirations before I go!
