Gift Ideas For Design Lovers

When I was asked by the German Pinterest team to join their 'Xmas Market', I was all game - curating a Pinterest board with gift ideas for design lovers was the task. Challenge taken! Pinning cool design products is anyway an activity I love spending my time on. Pinterest is one of my favorite platforms to find inspiration and new products - in fact, I have found many new home accessories for my own home through Pinterest over time!

My Pinterest account has a variety of boards with a focus on interior design, home accessories, decoration, plants, travels. And I usually extend my account with seasonal boards, like gift idea boards for Christmas and other festivities. Especially those gift idea boards serve as a sort of inspirational archive when I have to find presents for my beloved ones (or myself for that matter). And that's exactly what I did for the 'Pinterest Xmas Market': I have curated a fine selection of gift ideas for design lovers!

So if you need some more inspiration and ideas for the upcoming festive season, make sure you have a look on Pinterest. And yes, it is absolutely fine to buy yourself presents, too!

Happy hump day, friends!

Dreaming Into The Weekend: Home Inspiration

Nothing is quite as refreshing as dreaming of new home ideas - my inspiration source number one is Pinterest. I always happen to be inspired to redo a corner in my home after seeing beautiful interiors from around the globe. To start off the weekend in style, I am sharing three favorite recent interior design inspirations: a living room, a kitchen and a bedroom.

Do these rooms inspire you too? Happy weekend, friends!

I Need Your Help: My Pinterest Bedroom Board

Today I am going to ask you for a bit of support: I need your likes! But let me tell you the story from the beginning: Last weekend I was invited by the Dutch bed manufacturer Auping to join a little blogger event in Hamburg, Germany. A very, very early Saturday morning I took off by plane from Munich to Hamburg and spent a fun day with fellow bloggers in the Auping Plaza flagship store. But I will tell you next week more about my visit and I brought some fun videos back to share with you:-)

Now to the Pinterest part of the story: We were also invited as guest pinners to share our bedroom inspirations on our own little Auping board. The blogger who gets most overall likes on his pins will win a little contest - that is, we will get beautiful bedlinen by Auping to giveaway to YOU, my readers and (hopefully) supporters. So please help me rock this contest by liking any of my pins on my Pinterest board HERE (the board will grow over the next days). You can just like on pic or more than one, whatever you choose. I am definitely thankful for each and everyone of you!

Big hugs and thank you, my friends!!

Happy Pinterest Love!

The good thing is: I don't have to praise the virtues of Pinterest here. I think most of you are on Pinterest (if not everyone) and enjoy pinning along. Nevertheless, I always feel so inspired while pinning. When I look at my pins right after a pinning session, I sort of trace a thread, let's call it a visual story. What seems to be a random game while pinning along, puts itself together like a puzzle and tells a little inspiration story. So here I've compiled one of my latest four pins that I've pinned in a row and loved when looking at them together. Even though they don't have a lot in common, they seem to fit together. Somehow.

Have you ever paid attention to your pins after a session? Have you deciphered an inspirational story that you put together unconsciously through your pins? It is incredibly inspiring!

Oh, and if we're not connected on Pinterest yet, please follow me HERE.

Happy pinning!

Ideas For A Happy Weekend

I think I am a pretty visual person. Someone who detects and reacts to visual cues. I assume most of you are of the same kin as me, right? That's why I love beautiful art, pretty things for my happy home, colourful goodies for my kitchen, great photography and so much more. And that is why I also love Pinterest. Truth be told, I have been a bit quiet on Pinterest over the past few weeks, mostly because my work-blog-language course schedule keeps me rather busy. But whenever I buckle up for a visual joyride, I can't help but pin away into a world of enchanting photography.

And you know what I love in particular? After I've pinned a bit, I look back at my pins in the stream and I see wonderful sets and compositions, pins that seem to belong together, that make for a harmonious set - even though I've pinned randomly. So here is my set from today. I pinned along and looking back at the stream I found these four pins so strikingly beautiful as a visual composition and I instantly decided I want to share this with you. Have a happy & beautiful weekend, friends!

5 Happy Inspirations: My Five Latest Pins

Once again I got hooked up by Pinterest. I've pinned my way along and while looking over my latest pins I realized how lovely they matched each other. I love the way our pins reveal our taste and style. Our Pinterest boards become a visual portfolio of our aesthetics - you can see whether a fellow pinner is a graphic type of person, a rustic fellow, a romantic pal, a colourful friend or a monochromatic connoisseur. That's how I decided to simply share my five latest pins as today's '5 Happy Inspirations'. So what do these tell you about me?
