Urban Sound & Style With Bang & Olufsen

During my last trip to London I had the opportunity to play along with some new Bang & Olufsen sound devices and when I was asked to pick one that I'd like to take along for a street style shooting, I couldn't help but choose the cute and stylish BeoPlay A2 portable Bluetooth speaker in a dark forest green with tan leather straps. It was like meant to be, right?!

This cutie is a real companion for your urban lifestyle. It offers the True360 sound which spreads the sound equally to all sides and has up to 24 hours battery life - perfect for music anywhere in your home, on-the-go or on your rooftop terrace - like the way I used it on the rooftop of the Notting Hill apartment where I was staying during our Design Bloggers tour in London.

I already own fantastic BeoPlay headphones, but this baby is now on my wishlist for a perfect sound experience in my own urban apartment. The BeoPlay A2 portable speaker comes in three colours and is made for the urban dweller in you. After all, life is much more fun with music, right?

Bang & Olufsen's New Love Affair Collection

The Danes know how to do it - be it wooden furniture, interior design or consumer electronics. I just want to reemphasize how much I love my B&O Play H6 headphones - a stylish and high quality Danish product for design lovers. Bang & Olufsen is one of those rocket brands from Denmark - whenever I think of them I see sleek design, high quality and a big desire to own their products in my home. And like many Danish brands, Bang & Olufsen has a lot of tradition and history - to be precise, they are celebrating their 90th anniversary today and therefore they have launched the brand new 'Love Affair Collection'.

The 'Love Affair Collection' is an homage to the vibrant 1920s when Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen founded the company amidst a thriving Art Déco atmosphere full of luxury, joy and partying. You know, the swinging 1920s and so on. For the new collection Bang & Olufsen have collaborated with designer Stine Goya who introduced a warm and lush rose-golden hue in combination with walnut wood to take on the time's atmosphere and style. Furtermore, the rose-golden hue symbolizes love hence the naming: 'Love Affair Collection'.

The new 'Love Affair Collection' comprises six products including an entertainment center with a TV and remote control, an audio system, headphones (crush alarm!) and a cool speaker. More design beauties of this great Danish brand will be revealed on the blog and social media later next week as part of our Design Bloggers Tour in London. Now go find the budget for those beauties! Happy Monday!

Happy Interior Blog Recommends...

I'll tell you a little TV Story today. Now as someone who likes interior design and styling and someone who also shoots his apartment, I always find it terribly difficult to photograph the corner  with my TV. Maybe I just don't have a fancy TV. Or maybe I just don't know how to properly style and photograph that corner. Anyways. Recently I was talking with one of my friend who works for a home entertainment brand about the fact that many people don't have TVs at home but rather watch their favorite movies and series on their laptops. Sounds good but still - I really appreciate my TV for a good movie night at home.

You cuddle up with your cushions (like the fun new ones by Berlin based label 'Bermuda') on your sofa (like the North sofa by Bolia), you prepare a few snacks and drinks (on happy tableware by Skandinavisk) and you switch on your TV - better yet, you activate your entertainment center like the brand new BeoVision Avant by Bang & Olufsen. I mean this is really like a little home cinema - super flat screen, sleek design, unfolding sound panel and more. Admittedly, the price tag is cinematic too - I think my entire furnishing at home won't come up to this TV's price but sometimes you just have to treat your cinemaniac soul, right?

Are you a fan of movie nights at home?

Our Blogger Apartment In Stockholm

Yesterday I announced that I will tell and show you a bit more of our blogger apartment in Stockholm. During our Bloggers Tour in Stockholm we were lucky enough to sort of move into the headquarters of the hyper stylish Swedish real estate agency Fantastic Frank. We had their entire upper floor to style and create an apartment feeling with the support of our generous sponsors. Emma was the leading mastermind in styling the entire space which was pretty important because we hosted a design party last Thursday night for the creative scene in Stockholm.

I need not tell you that the party was a full success - design journalists, designers, bloggers, brand representatives, stylists - all flocked at our party and made themselves at home in our blogger apartment. But all of this would have not been possible if we had not have an excellent set up of interior goodies for the apartment:

One Nordic Furniture Company provided us with stylish furniture pieces like chairs, a dining table, sideboards, a magazine ladder, a sidetable and beautiful and comfy cushions.

No Early Birds added more furniture bliss to our apartment - a desk, stools, another table, and other accessories.

Granit was kind enough to offer us their brand new collection of rugs and cushions that were not even available in stores at that moment.

Auping took care of beds - two brand new models like the super stylish Criade boxpspring bed were added to our apartment including bedlinen by Auping - this bed was a hotspot during the late hours of our party as people flocked in bed for comfy chats & drinks.

Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY added to the real life setting their latest home entertainment products like the sleek BeoLab 18 wireless speakers with oak lamellas, a huge home cinema TV and the latest product called BeoSound Essence, a handy round device to control your sound by one simple touch. All this was also put into full force the day after our party when we had our own private movie afternoon - enjoying the full force of picture and sound!

I hope you enjoyed the little tour through our one-of-a-kind blogger apartment in Stockholm. Hopefully we can carry on the concept into other cities all around the globe! And another big thanks to our private driving service during the Stockholm Design Week offered by Uber - such a cool idea to call you private driver through a smartphone app!

Happy Thursday!

Good music for my ears and beautiful furniture and home accessories for my eyes - sometimes it doesn't take more for a chilled day at home. While I was in Stockholm, my blogger friends and I threw a party during the Stockholm Design Week in our so-called 'Bloggers Apartment'. The apartment was created in the headquarters of the famous real estate agency Fantastic Frank and we equipped the entire apartment with furniture and accessories from our generous sponsors. But I will tell you more about our 'Bloggers Apartment' tomorrow!

One of our cool sponsors was Bang & Olufsen who was generous enough to offer to everyone of us a pair of personalized BeoPlay H6 headphones - thank you so much. These cuties actually inspired today's product recommendations and I hope you'll like what you see and enjoy some of your favorite music in your stylish homes!
