Lately I am really a bit focused around my home redecoration project and drawn to pictures that inspired me for my own home redo. The same applies to today's chosen room that caught my eye. First of all I really like the way it's photographed, it is a sort of elusive moment caught on a picture, it kind of gives a swift glance into someone's inspiring room (I wish I knew who took this photo, so if you happen to know, please tell me). Secondly, my eye got caught by a few elements that will also find their way into my own home or already have:
- Round Mirror: I really fell in love with round, wall-mounted mirrors. Recently I got rid of my rectangular, black framed mirror and I got myself a big round mirror. Not the famous Adnet mirror by Gubi but a less pricy but still lovely mirror - the new round mirror from Ikea's Stockholm 2013 collection. I can't wait to hang it in my bedroom.
- Chinese Money Plant: Have you noticed the rising popularity of this cute little green beauty? The so-called 'Chinese Money Plant' or more correctly Pilea peperomioides is making its appearance in many interiors shots and decor vignettes. I am one lucky guy cause I have one of those rather rarely available plants - I got a shoot from my friend Emelie, a Swedish flower blogger.
- Variety of textures: I love to play with textures in rooms. Linen, structured fabrics, knitted throws, chunky knit cushion covers - I will have to elaborate a fine selection of textures for my new living room soon.
How do you like this dreamy peek into someone's beautiful home? What caught your eye?

Liebe Igor,
DeleteLooking forward to seeing pics of your finished home project Igor. It's always wonderful to reach that point when it's complete & you can simply stand & admire your efforts :-) And above... it's the mirror for me. G
ReplyDeleteI can see why that room caught your eye ;) The mirror is VERY nice indeed and I quite like the lamp under it. Thanks for the link!;)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Mirror!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteΟ καθρέφτης κλέβει την ''παράσταση''!
ReplyDeleteI have a plant that looks like a Chinese money plan but my likes to climb. I found out that it was a sweet pea.
ReplyDeleteLove to see this picture true your words.
Vicky
Woah! The money plant for sure caught my eye. Is it hard to care for? it's so beautiful! I can't say I've noticed them before really... Now I want one :)
ReplyDeleteRound mirror also fab! I have one in my home and I love it. It was my first flea market purchase ever, so it's quite special to me. It brings in some nice geometry and a break from all the straight lines I love. Actually, you can see a picture of it in this photo (and catch a little glimpse into my little home) - http://goo.gl/fhDf3k
But for some reason, the sideboard is really demanding my visual attention. I don't know why ... Must be the lines and the colour of the wood - it really pops in this image.
Great share Igor!
Xx.
