Happy Interior Blog Recommends...

Soft blue velvet, mat grey surfaces, sleek marble - some of my cravings for beautiful interiors have shaped today's list of product recommendations for happy homes. I set off to the world wide web to find adequate products and this is what I've come up with. I am in absolute love with the velvet sofa and have a crush on these wooden and marble candleholders although I have too many candleholders at home already.

How do you like the combination of blue velvet, grey hues and marble surfaces? I think it looks very sophisticated and grown-up, calm, stylish and contemporary. And for the compulsory dash of crazy happiness I've found the fun and colorful Lastika chair. Here's to a happy hump day my friends!

1. Sofa 'Casino' by EPI Luminaires
2. Coffee table 'Stone' by Zuiver via Home24.de
3. Bell lamp by Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck via Folklore
4. Lastika chair by Lago
5. Wooden and marble candleholders by Madame Stoltz via Home24.de
6. Striped edge rug via Anthropologie

Happy Interior Blog Recommends...

Today it's over - I mean the crazy carnival time here in Germany. And some more quite days towards spring lie ahead of us. And the nature's awakening - you know, the snowdrops in your garden, the first fresh pops of green in the park, budding trees. And the nature is a major inspiration for interiors - I can sort of feel the green vibe moving into my home, too. For me it will rather be a small piece like the fun H&M cushion or the emerald green espresso maker. But I've got more ideas if you want to go bolder - from a cool shelf for green decor items to a velvety sofa. Today's recommendations include:

1. Atoll Shelf by Atoll
2. Green watercolor painting by 'Outside in Art Studio'
3. Green cushion by H&M Home
4. Emerald green espresso maker by Howkapow
5. Palm green mug by Le Creuset
6. Green velvet sofa by Crate & Barrel

Will you add something green into your home this season?

Happy hump day, friends!

Why This Room Caught My Eye

Like every Tuesday I like to play 'visual cues' with random rooms I find online. Today, I've picked a pretty stylish example: This room combines a vibrant and a more masculine look in one. At least this is what I think. But let me guide you through the visual cues that caught my eye in this particular room:
  • Abundance of natural light: To start off, can we please speak about the abundance of natural light in this interior? I mean seriously, who wouldn't love such a light flooded home? In interior design nothing beats natural light. This is the Alpha and Omega of any good interior, right?
  • Velvet sofa: This grey velvet sofa looks so cosy and inviting that I'd like to jump on it instantly. But more importantly it adds a certain cool, urban vibe to this room. The grey colour is ideal to match any other colours through decorative elements like cushions or rugs (which is why I am going to buy a new grey sofa soon, too). Speaking of rugs, let's get to point three.
  • Colourful Boucherouite rug: The Moroccan Boucherouite rugs seem to be the new must-have when it comes to interior design elements. They are suddenly everywhere and the colours and patterns appeal to many tastes. Their fluffy texture is also ideal to add interest in interiors.
So what caught your eye? What do you like or maybe dislike in this room? Let me know!
