I am an avowed Sibella Court fan. I love her bohemian, well-traveled character, her inspiring and colorful styling work, her enchanting books. I already loved her previous books so I was pretty excited to get hold of her latest book 'Gypsy'. Once I had it at home, I waited for a leisurely quiet Sunday morning to dive into the colorful world of Sibella Court - in bed with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
In 'Gypsy' Sibella Court takes us on an inspiring travel around the globe, collecting interior design and styling ideas on the way. The title refers to the bohemian, nomadic travel lifestyle of gypsies in previous eras, their colorful and joyful approach to life embracing all ups and downs as they come. With this book in your hands, you feel a bit like you've set off to such a bohemian voyage around the world. The book takes us in dedicated chapters to the Galapagos islands and Ecuador, to Indochine, Turkey, Scotland and Transylvania.
Every visited place reveals its characteristics and charms through the eyes and words of Sibella Court. Sibella gives us insights into her work and how she approaches travels in order to get inspiration for her styling work. For avid travelers like myself this is a real gem and source of ongoing inspiration.
