Everyday Amazing: Esprit Home In 2015

A few weeks ago I received one of the coolest press preview invitations (see it HERE) - it was so amazing that I was totally intrigued. And it read: Everyday Amazing! But what was it all about? Esprit Home invited the press to a special press preview in Hamburg and even though I couldn't make it up to the north of Germany due to other projects, I wanted to know more and share it with you.

I have blogged about various Esprit Home collections here on Happy Interior Blog and their campaigns were inspired by urban surroundings and were named after a world metropolis. But in 2015 the strategy is changing: Esprit Home's new collections celebrates the return to nature and the essentials in life. It focuses on our desire to escape the urban bustle and reboot ourselves with all our senses.
Spring: Lakeside

Summer: Coastline

Autumn: Desert

Winter: Woods
Esprit Home will launch four seasonal collections in 2015: Spring will be entitled 'Lakeside' and features greens and turquoise hues with floral prints. Summer is called 'Coastline' with diamond shaped patterns and stripes in blue and purple hues referring to the ocean. Autumn is named 'Desert' and boasts fiery reds and graphical and African inspired patterns as well as strong black and white contrasts. Last but not least, winter is simply baptized 'Woods' and showcases frost patterns and cosy grey hues.

I don't know if it's because of the current season or maybe because I have grown a bit older, but my favorite is the winter collection with its calmer and subtle design. I can't handle too much pattern I assume:-)

Happy Thursday, friends!

The New Cape Town Collection By Esprit Home

With home accessories it is a little bit like with fashion. Once the temperature are rising to simmering heights, everyone in the business is talking about autumn and winter collections. The kind of saturated colours, warm and heavy materials, rich patterns kind of talk. So it comes as no surprise that I am sitting on my sofa, typing these word, sipping on a glass of ice cold apple juice and sweating - while I have another autumn collection for your home on my screen.

Esprit Home has been launching home accessories since 2006 and recently all their collections have been named after major world cities. So for the upcoming autumn season they have chosen the South African metropolis Cape Town as an eponym. And carrying the promise of the African south, this collection comes with vibrant colours dominated by red hues and rich textures and patterns for your floors, beds, sofas and walls.

While glancing over the pictures of Esprit Home's new collection launching in August 2014, I have noticed the patterned rug in particular. With its black and white pattern and red rim, it adds so much emphasis to a room that I can literally imagine it in a rather clean, scarcely furnished room as a visual anchor and highlight.

Oh and Cape Town made me think of another fact: While I am sweating here in anticipation of summer, the folks in Cape Town and on the entire southern hemisphere are in the midst of autumn. So after all, this collection does come just in time - at least for some of us on our crazy planet!

Happy weekend everyone!

Esprit Home Summer Collection 2014

While I am still wrapping up in scarves, gloves and feathery winter jackets, I keep getting signs of spring and summer in my mailbox on a daily basis. Being a sucker for blue, my eye got caught up by the indigo hued summer collection of Esprit Home entitled 'Palma de Mallorca'. The Mediterranean vibe seems to be the DNA of this home textiles collection - deep blue hues, whites and natural tones promise freshness and the profoundly calming power of the Mediterranean sea. The light and natural fabrics and airy patterns perfectly embody the notion of a Southern lightness.

Indigo seems to be a trending colour this year as I have seen it quite often on various interior design shows. The summertimes blues of Esprit Home's collection are almost countless in their colour nuances - from deep indigo to airy blues. I also love the wide scope of patterns - from geometric simplicity over floral patterns to Moorish-inspired embellishments.

I am particularly fond of the cushions and the blue rug - I might need some more blue injections later this year. What do you think of the 'Palma de Mallorca' collection?

Esprit Home Collection: Barcelona

There is one thing I love out there on the market: The emerging home lines of various brands. We've seen many fashion brands that extended their portfolio with a home range such as H&M Home, Zara Home, Desigual Home and Esprit Home

Home is where the heart is - that is the motto of Esprit's inspiring voyage. They take us on a tour through various world metropolises in each season to set a special tone and flavour to their seasonal home collection.

Currently, Barcelona is making its appearance with earthy hues, ethnic inspired patterns and rich textures. A warm and cosy collection for the colder season that combines a natural and ethnic twist with beautiful bedlinen, towels, cushions, rugs and accessories. I love the ethnic inspired throw and the mellow bedlinen. Do you spot any favorites?
