Today's travel blog post had to be a Paris post of course. I thought it would be nice to share a few simple, on-the-go snapshots from my last stay in Paris. Sometimes I just walk around without a plan or decided destination and just snap a picture here and there. All these pictures were taken during one day - and I was walking a lot that day. From my home base in the 20th arrondissement I descended the Ménilmontant hill to the 11th arrondissement, traversed to the 3rd and entered the 4th arrondissement. I like to walk long distances in Paris - it makes me feel more attached to the city, amidst its vibrant life on the streets, discovering new shops, beautiful buildings and Parisians of all sorts, taking in its scents and sounds.
My love for Paris is unrivaled and every time I share a bit of my love and excitement for the French capital with you, I hope I can spark a little travel desire in you and once you head off to Paris, who knows, maybe we'll have a coffee in one of the many street side cafés? Oh, I heard daydreaming is a good cure for Monday blues, too.
Bon début de semaine mes amis!

Lovely pictures! I used to live in Paris (in St Germain/Odeon) and would love to visit again soon. PS. I really like your blog :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much, Pia!! And what a grand corner of Paris to live in!! Wow! Well, I can at least invite you to join me virtually to Paris through Instagram:-) Have a great Monday!
DeleteHey Igor! I am going to move to paris in september for an internship. I am very excited! Thanks for your beautiful pictures, they make me want to take long walks in paris as soon as possible :) maybe we will meet on the street ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish you a lot of fun and I am curious about the new habitat collection.
Salut! Maggie
Oh very exciting Maggie! Make the best time out of it - Paris is truly magical! I will keep you posted about the new Habitat collection on Instagram:-) See you there!
DeleteHave fun on your trip! It's funny that you mention Habitat because it was just this morning that I was looking up their nearest store after receiving an email from a friend, who was enjoying their latest catalogue. Apparently, I have to go to Leeds to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll be able to catch some of your images on Instagram … my temporary Wi-Fi isn't exactly reliable!
They are super hard to find here too, Lisa. They do not have a store in Munich for example. They are more focused on online shopping it appeares. But I will keep you posted about the new collection on Instagram - then you can decide whether a trip to Leeds is worth the hassle:-)
DeleteHow fab Igor - Habitat and PARIS - what's not to love :-) xx
ReplyDeleteJust love Paris! Reminded me of my trip less than 1/2 a year ago and yet that felt like forever already! Can't wait to go back again … and as always, love your photos! xoxo
