I might sound a bit annoying but I have to repeat it over again: the change of season gets me all excited! Even when we bid summer goodbye, I am in a happy state of mind. I am looking forward to the chilly nights with crisp air, to my favorite extra blanket to cuddle up, to rearranging my home decoration and set a mellow colour tone in my abode.
This bedroom above has caught my eye today. Even though I've always declared the colour brown as my least favorite unless we speak of coffee or chocolate (to drink and eat of course), I sort of feel the need to revise my decision. Brown hues can be so stylish, serene and comfy like in this pic. Combined with soft grey and black, this looks more than inviting. And I adore the moon prints - I have a similar one at home that I found here.
Are you getting ready for autumn?

I love that room! I think i prefer those cool brown tones, it's rich chocolatey ones that don't quite do it for me. Love those moon prints too.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have to disagree about autumn... a couple more months of summer would be wonderful!

Love it! all the natural materials in this room is killing me ... and I've died and gone to sconces heaven when I saw those wall sconces, totally what I would love to have in my own bedroom.
ReplyDeleteFunny how you mentioned brown ... it's more like a blend of beige and grey isn't it? and of course when mixing with other black and grey, I actually didn't perceive the room with much brown doses.
Moon print.. . That's where I'm checking out next!
I am not a big fan of beige either but with the different shades and textures it totally works. I am still clinging to the last days of summer but on the other hand that extra blanket is one of the tings I look forward to as well as sitting on the couch all bundled up with a comfy throw, drinking tea by candle light...
ReplyDeleteΙσορροπημενο και ως προς το χρωμα αλλα και τα σχηματα!
ReplyDeleteΑκομη φοραω σορτσάκια χα χα.
Yes!!!! You're starting to cherish brown hues, too ;)
ReplyDeleteBut you're right, loving it or not definitly depends on the styling as well as the colours next to it. And this one here, is great!
Have to admit, that I only slowly get ready for autumn. Waving the summer goodbye is always a challenge for me, but there is the beautiful autumn sun and its special warm light, which you can experience in this season only ... and yes enjoying a warm blanket and a lovely cup of tea or hot chocolate, lighting up some candles again ... will think about some more benefits autumn brings ;) Just to make it a bit easier on me...
Happy Thursday, my friend!
I love the bedroom. The peace of the natural colours. Yes, I guess, I come back to natural colours and materials, and I am still not sure wether it´s only the upcoming autumn.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visits and comments. I was really excited about it!
I.
yes gorgeous Igor-vary classic-love it!
ReplyDeleteIm not a huge fan of brown either, but it can be quite fun with a few bright colors mixed in:) Happy Thursday!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember begging my mom to get rid of all the brown furniture in our living room. I never used to wear brown. Now it's one of my favorite colors. So classy!
ReplyDeleteIgor, I'm so ready for autumn. I love this bedroom look so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for Autumn, and having experienced how hot your apartment is, I'm not surprised that you are seeking out cool days - and hues!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!
DeleteWow! I love the soft tones and the two photographs of the Moon. And those industrial lamps look so great too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can honestly say that I'm getting into the autumn groove. Maybe I'm just excited about experiencing autumn and winter for the first time in Luxembourg.
ReplyDeleteThat bedroom is perfection.
Love it.
Love, love love love love. I saw this on Pinterest yesterday and still wonder who's lamps those are.
ReplyDeleteI'm lusting over that bedroom, yummy! SO ready for autumn!
ReplyDeleteHooray. Bring on autumn. My favourite season of the year by far. Dark nights and crisp days. I can't wait. And I always feel much more inspired.
ReplyDeleteI adore this bedroom, totally in my style...
ReplyDeleteI so loved to see how many of you responded positively to this bedroom! Very cool! Thank you all!
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favourite season! I love love love it. Makes me feel alive and cozy all at once. I love the colours of fall and the crisp air, and even the slightly runny nose after you've spent lots of time outside :) So yes, I'm so ready for it and so happy to welcome it. I just wish it could last longer.
ReplyDeleteAs you are thinking of revisiting your appreciation for brown (I love brown), I am thinking of doing the same for beige. I don't know what's with me but I'm strangely attracted it. Like in the bedroom featured above - those bed linens - I just find them so inviting. Beige can be boring, but it can also be rich and creamy ... I think I like those beiges .. the rich and creamy ones.
And that arm chair. I think my new Berlin living room needs it ;)
wow. This is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI wish autumn were going to stop in our neighborhood! I miss cool weather. :)
ReplyDeleteReally like the linen-look of that bedspread.
The famous Decorator Billy Baldwin said, "Everything in a bedroom should contribute to an atmosphere of peace". That bedroom looks peaceful.
