Happily Ever After: Villka Hillka

It is an open secret that I have an issue with cushion. I have too many. Even my mum told me during her last visit: enough cushions! Well, luckily she left in the meantime and I got to play along with two new cuties - two adorable, handmade felt cushions by the German design label 'Villka Hillka'.

The creative mind behind the label 'Villka Hillka' is the designer Zuzana Hillenbach whose motto is to create with lots of love handmade homewares for a wonderful home. I would put it in my words and add wonderful and happy homes. Her portfolio encompasses selected furniture, poufs, rugs, lamps, accessories, a kid's line and cushions. 

I particularly love her handmade felt cushions. They are super soft, perfectly sewn and happily coloured. I mean, look at the pompom cushion - isn't that a happy eye-catcher for every bed or sofa? The softness of the felt cushions stems from the exquisite material chosen - every felt cushion is made of 100 % merino sheep wool.

All About Nesting: My Guest Picks

What would you do if a design retailer told you to browse their shop and pick your favorite 25 goodies to style up your home? You would't say no, would you? Well, truth be told, I wasn't actually running through a store and picking 25 design items for my home (uhm, you remember my apartment's size, I couldn't even fit in 25 design items). But when the British interiors store Nest asked me to present my guest picks on their site, I wasn't hesitating a minute! After all, I love everything nice and beautiful for a personalized interior design. New Shop: Mignon Kitchen Co.

Do you know that feeling when you click on a link, a website pops open, and from the very first sight you know: I enjoy this, I love this, I so need to blog this! Well, that exactly happened yesterday when I clicked on the link to a very new online shop called Mignon Kitchen Co. I was reading the great Odessa May Blog of one of my US blogger friends, Jennifer Prince, and discovered this little gem. Now tell me, isn't this sheer happiness for the eyes? Mignon means cute in French and yes, this shop and its products are more than just cute. 

Mignon is Seattle based and run by Rachel Ball with - I can tell - lots of passion and love for making and sharing food. Rachel also writes the beautiful Elephantine blog - check it for more enchanting inspiration. The shop carries a selection of curated goods for prepping, baking, serving and sharing food, from everyday tools to little indulgences. You will find an inspiring assortment of kitchen tools, pantry pretties, tabletop accessories and packaging ideas. 

I really love to discover beautiful new shops and websites and this one is a perfect example.
