Wallpaper is one of those elements in interior design that I really like but never had in any of my apartments so far. Probably because I never lived in a large space that could easily be used for wallpaper. However, the new Carl collection by Swedish manufacturer Sandberg is one of those that really makes me want to rethink my stance on wallpaper in small spaces.
The striped wallpaper collection was launched mid-January and is inspired by the changing seasons in Sweden. From the early morning sunrise with an abundance of nuances over frozen lakes surrounded by sparkling hoarfrost to the hues of endless wooded hills - this collection is deeply inspired by the cool Swedish nature and exemplifies the heritage of Sandberg's timeless patterns.
The Carl collection contains seven striped patterns but I've chosen my favorite four for this blogpost. To achieve the large, magical views that nature exhibits, Sandberg has opted for digital technology in two of the patterns (my favorites by the way) to depict dawn and dusk. These two patterns look almost like painted with watercolors. I love them!
How do you like this dreamy wallpaper collection?
Happy weekend my friends!

DeleteOh, wow, that comes in so handy. I was a bit bored of wallpapers but the first looks perfect. Subtle yet stylish and you don't easily tire of the print. Great find, Igor. I plan to move this year and will think about this one. Will send you then a picture:-) xx
ReplyDeleteSame here! I was not surprised with wallpaper designs recently but these really made me notice wallpaper again! And I am with you - the first design is my absolute favorite!
DeleteThe last one - dusk? - is quite beautiful (awkward styling aside). It appears as extremely calming and serene. Those pink hues are extremely enchanting.
ReplyDeleteHahaha speaking of overrated stylists, right?? Interesting to see you prefer the last pattern (but it makes sense when I think of your sofa). I am in love with the first design - I like the natural hues and the watercolour effect of it. Happy weekend my friend!
DeleteJ'adore cette nouvelle collection!!
ReplyDeleteOh, its great. I like wallpapers but our house has (I dont know the name in english) rough walls :-( and so it doesn't works with wallpapers. I like your blog very much and I will follow you, kind regards from Switzerland, Barbara

ReplyDeleteI know you are a big wallpaper fan so yes - good design deserves good coverage! Thanks for stopping by, Stacey!
Deletealthough I am a unintentionally white-wall-fetishist (just because I can not decide what to pull on my walls at last ...) I really like those wallpapers ! they are amazing, especially the first one, and even there is some kind of rosé instead of a green color, it reminds me of the (sometimes foggy) toscany-hills ... - julia
ReplyDeleteI love the dawn-styled wallpaper. I think the pinks are really beautiful! I'm with you - I always think that wallpaper is for larger spaces - but the stripes you've chosen would be perfect for a small space x
