This Monday I took you to Vancouver with this blog post and today I want to show you one of the fabulous interiors stores I'd discovered while in the Canadian metropolis. But first, this story requires a little foreword: I did not find Provide by coincidence. The great advantage of being a blogger is a great international network of blogger friends. It happened that my Canadian friend, interior designer and blogger Nyla noticed that I am going to Vancouver and she told me about her favorite interiors store in town. We tweeted about it and a minute later the shop owners replied on Twitter saying that they are looking forward to meeting me. I checked the address and a few hours later I was on my way to Provide.
Provide is run by the owners David Keeler and Robert Quinnell and features a well curated collection of furniture, home textiles, tableware, and home décor. The collection has a contemporary vibe and is modern yet remaining warm and inviting for different tastes and interior styles. During my visit, the store was highlighting beautiful autumn hues like all shades of blues and yellow - I need not mention that I was totally enchanted by one of my favorite colour combinations. But Provide is more than just an interiors store: The Provide team also provides (catchword) an interior design service for their clients.
I was very happy to be welcomed in the store and free to roam around and snap pictures for you my readers. I chatted with one of the owners and also learned that they will be exhibiting at the upcoming Maison & Objet in Paris so who knows, maybe we will see each other again pretty soon. And if you happen to be at M&O, watch out for the inspiring folks of Provide.
But for now I will let you roam around the shop with me and discover the beautiful interior design goodies through these pictures. I hope you like it. I loved it.
You can find Provide on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, too.

ReplyDeleteDanke vielmals!

Angelika, I had exactly the same feeling! Luckily, I'm in the middle of redesigning my living room:-)
DeleteSeriously makes me want to jump on a plane and discover Vancouver. What a great shop Igor. Globetrotter - what a job description ;-) Happy Thursday my friend, hope it's warmer where you are.

What a shop! I guess I loved at least one item per picture ... I will certainly watch out for them in January in Paris. Thank you Igor :-)
ReplyDeleteThere are too many things I would like to have in my house from this place! I would like to be shopping in Vancouver now!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any tips for dressing a shelf without making it look cluttered?
ReplyDeleteSure Laura! Try to group things together in small clusters and arranging them on the shelves. Add three or five smaller objects into a group (for example your favorite decor objects, books, vases), pay attention to varying heights and place the taller objects in the back and the smaller ones upfront. If you have many books stack them in different piles, some horizontally, some vertically. And try to keep a few empty spaces on your shelf for that airy look. Oh and add a bit of green to it - a little succulent maybe? Hope tht helps!
DeleteWonderful shop space Igor - the floor, high ceiling, windows and feeling of space. Too much going on for me product wise. Although I do spy a lovely grey bag sitting on the floor by one of the displays. And I think 'Igor Josifovic' wouldn't look out of place above the door - it's very you :-) Glad you managed to have a good look around.
ReplyDeleteHa, thanks Gerard, I just think David and Robert would object my takeover:-)
DeleteWonderful post, Igor. I cannot get over the size of the windows in this shop and all the light! I am thirsty for some light on this grey but beautiful day. I love to relive your adventures with you! Have a great day. Jocelyn
ReplyDeleteNice post and great photos Igor. I will be sure to check out design shop Provide on my next visit up to Vancouver. Really love seeing our region through your eyes... lore
ReplyDeleteThank you Igor! We are absolutely thrilled to be featured on your blog – your photographs make us look so good! It was such a pleasure meeting you on your trip to Vancouver, we look forward to seeing you again in Paris in January.
ReplyDeleteoh this looks awesome. I hope I can make it to M&O to meet them. Your posts about Vancouver really make me want to go there now.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing trip you've had Igor! You must feel even more inspired and motivated than usual-and that's saying something!! thanks so much for sharing all your fabulous finds. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think it's appropriate to steal a line from Chandler in Friends: "Oh lord sweet Jesus of everything good and pure" ... or something like that ; - ) This store is simply sensational; I think I could camp in there for just a few days! That top photo reassures me that I need to decorate my living room with yellow, golden and blue shades. I just bought a yellowish cushion cover so I'm almost there, almost!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Igor, and thanks for sharing this beautiful store!
Um...it's like the store prepared for your arrival with that colour scheme! Looks like a great place. Well curated. Now following :)
ReplyDeleteXx.
